4 bit magnitude comparator

The magnitude comparator compares 2 4-bit-numbers (say A and B). There are 3 outputs on the comparator indicating A>B, A=B and A<B....

Can you think of one device or circuit that would need this kind of function?

Hint: Inside a calculator or CPU.
