I got a good deal on an old railroad generator. It puts out 480/277 3 phase, 60 amps per leg. I need to know what kind of transformer to use to drop it down to 120/240 single phase. Thanks

Responses to the following questions will enhance our ability to assist you:)

Are the windings fully configurable or is the configuration dedicated/hardwired?
If dedicated, what is the winding configuration (Delta? Wye?)
How many (if any) winding 'segment taps' per leg are accessible?
Is neutral accessible?

Best regards
HP:)
