2x solar panels with load - how to wire?

I know its a simple configuration but it's having problems and i think it's my design:

Here are my components:
1. 2x 145*145 solar panels - Rated @ 6V, 2.3W, .4A
2. 1x Charge board -Input voltage 6.5-40V Output 1 : DC 4.2V/0-1A, as battery Charger https://tinyurl.com/y3yxdh3c
3. 1x 18650 battery
4. Sonoff LV Smart switching board - requires 5vdc input https://tinyurl.com/y42ffldb
5. schottky diodes
6. Load (5VDC) 1A

Questions:
1. What's wrong with my diagram?
2. Should I just run the solar panels in series since the charge board is ok with 12v in? are any other circuits needed in the series configuration?
3. The Sonoff and load both seem to run fine off of the 4.2V from the 18650, but should I step it up to 5v somehow?
4. In my drawing the Sonoff board (an potentially the load if it is switched on) will draw power directly from the solar panels via the charge board. Is this a no no? Should I somehow isolate the Sonoff from the charging circuit?

I REALLY appreciate the input.Having trouble here and cant figure out whats up! Will tip anyone who takes the time to draw a proper diagram if mine is beyond help:(

Your'e panels are each 6V open circuit ( with no load) ... once you draw current the voltage will drop , so you have to wire them in series to feed the charger board .... it will be fine ...

I'm not sure there is a need for the two diodes.
