Thanks. Worth a try. The aluminium frame is already isolated from anything else, only mounted around the MDF cabinet using strong doublesided adhesive tape. How big shoul the plate be ? Could you make a drawing sketch ?

You could just laminate a piece of MDF with aluminum foil? make it big, the whole back is good, but leave a 2 inch gap from the outer frame to reduce the capacitance between the two.
Make a solid connection to the foil with a screw or equivalent.

My only concern is how it would affect the bluetooth reception (only a small wire antenna inside the cabinet) ?

I don't see the switch. Are you simulating the switch by touching the jumper to the 5 volt bus.
If so that might have too much bounce.

I have a touch button switch, but I am also using the jumper to 5v, but nothing happens.

It kind of works if I just pull pin 14 to minus using 100k and to 5v via the button, but often bounces.

With the switch held down measure at junction of the 100K and 10K resistors.

 

Just need a volt meter.
