24 volts DC @ max 2.5 Amp from Computer PSU

Hi Guys,
I am wondering if it is possible somehow to get 24 VDC from a computer power supply to provide supply to Programmable Logic controller?

Please give ideas?

Most desktop computer power supplies have a +12V and -12V DC outputs. That is 24V between the two. NOTE: If it is used in this way, the supply common must not be connected to ground if the -12V is connected to the PLC ground. The maximum current output on the +12v supply is somewhere between 4.5 and 18 amps depending on the model but the -12V supply is only rated at 1/2 to 1 amp. This will limit the current you can draw between the + and - supplies. The ratings for the different models are listed here:
