I downloaded the TPL5111 datasheet, and found a small mistake....I used the submit documentation feedback link to report it.
Can you spot it? Attached the schematic in question.View attachment 342923
I'm not at all familiar with the TPL5111, but the name EN/ONE_SHOT implies that this is an input pin. If so, how is the LDO powered?

But since that would constitute more than a "small mistake" in my book, I'm guessing that the EN/ONE_SHOT pin is more sophisticated than just a control input?

It is actually a simpler and sillier mistake: the LDO reg is missing the ground connection!

I know, it is a simplified block diagram. For us old timers it is obvious that the LDO must have the ground pin connected. However you never know how a newbie may actually interpret it.

I can actually see a question posted in AAC or other forums: “I built a timer according to the data sheet and is not working “.

Yep, I didn't notice the missing GND connection since I'm used to seeing schematics in which explicit ground connections aren't shown, but rather inferred. I agree that, in a datasheet schematic, it should be made explicit.

But, since the missing GND is the mistake, does this mean that the LDO regulator really is powered from the EN/ONE_SHOT pin?
