I have a 315 MHz transmitter in a metal box with an RG-174 coax to a remote 1/4 wave antenna. I need to add a second transmitter because I need to transmit 2 signals simultaneously but I only have room for a single remote antenna. Can 2 transmitters transmit simultaneously using the same antenna? Appreciate any help.

No, not simultaneously. You would have put the transmitters on different frequencies, and use a device called a "circulator" or "duplexor" to combine the RF signals onto one coax to one antenna. If the transmitters send their messages sequentially (only one keyed at a time), it is much easier.
