12V thermostat reading 4 point temperature

Hello, I want to use a 12v thermostat to control the cooling of my led setup, this is a 4 ft. aluminum setup with two heatsinks.

The thermostat I want to use is a 12v single probe NTC 10K thermostat, so I thought about measuring the average temperature using a 4 probe setup, 2 series of 2 in parallel, this would result in an average reading of the 4 probes, am I right?

Thank you.

Maybe, maybe not.

If the temperatures are about the same within a few degrees it might work. With wider temperature differences the transfer characteristics (linear or non-linear) would not give a true average.
