Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me, I'm pretty new to this whole electric circuit thing. But I was wondering if anyone could help me with designing a circuit Or possibly design one for me

000-Brake
0XX
X0X
XX0

If I can do more leds in order that would be awesome, thanks guys

So what do the O's and X's represent?
Typically a 1 represents a true or ON and a 0 represents a false or OFF.

But this thread will likely be closed since automotive subjects are forbidden here.

The 0 represents on and x is off, basically I want a sequential flashing led that doesn't light in a row just one at a time

Kind of like a mustang tail light

Maybe you could using a ne555 and a counter as SN74HC390 or SN74HC393 and plus some RC, or using a ne555 and a counter as 74HC390 or 74HC393 and CD4017 and ULN2003 plus some RC.

In English? Lol I had a circuit put together at one point on a breadboard and connected it to a 9v and the lights would go individually if I disconnected and connected the positive wire

I had it set up with a 555 and 4017

So what is it you want to end up with. Having a single LED turn on and walk across a string of them is pretty straightforward. But what is this (brake) entry on the first row? You need to describe what you want the system to do, in detail.

Yes, sorry for the confusion, I basically want a light to walk across a string ... And again I was just trying to use the mustang tail lights as an example ... Everyone has seen how they go in sequential order and yet can all light up at once, but all's I want is for it to walk across a string lol

Or could you possibly make two light up sequentially .. Ex

100100
010010
001001

Again I'm pretty new to all this ... Sorry for being a newbster

This falls into a common category of circuits known as LED chasers. There are many, many ways to solve the problem and you can learn a lot from playing with them. You can use analog, digital, or mixed-signal circuits. You can use discrete circuits or circuits using programmable logic.

If you mean that 100100 is using 6 leds and to light up two leds in the same time, then it should be using two CD4017 and the second one is divided by the first one maybe three, and then mixing their signals to drive uln2003, and uln2003 to drive 6 LEDs.

What is the objective here? Are you trying to learn electronics, or do you have something in mind for this circuit?

If you just want to using a normal LED chasing light then just google "NE555 CD4017" and you will get a lots infos, the below was showing two LEDs in the chasing light and you could choose the second LED behind the first LED have 2~5 LEDs far away.

This just an idea and I haven't try it, if you find any errors, please post your questions.
