If a switch is rated at .4amps at 115vdc, how do I figure it's rating at 20vdc? I have seen a few different ratings, I think one of them might get me to that 8amp rating. I'm not sure how to do the math part though.

 

I'd go with the relay circuit.
That way you can use the small switches with small wire (e.g. 20ga or smaller) to the switches.

 

Then I would be looking at getting the 15328866 relay you linked to, right? I would want a 40ohm 3w resistor? If so would a 39ohm 3watt resistor be sufficient?

If that relay and resistor are ok, I think I can buy all the parts for this project. Hopefully I can figure my way through wiring the relay. I'll know more with parts in hand. Thanks for the assistance.
