Hi

I'm looking for a miniature 12 position potentiometer. specifically a 1.1k pot that switches up in 100 Ohm increments between 0 and 1.1k

I've found one from an automotive supplier but it costs over £120! so I'm thinking of building a digital circuit that does the same thing.

If anyone has any advice on how best to go about this, or where to source a cheaper switched pot than the one I've found then it would be much appreciated.

If you're going digital, and what you really want is a rotary control that has "clicks" or detents, I'd guess it'll be a LOT cheaper to use a rotary encoder.
