Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone can help me with the formula in the attached picture. I dont know what the pipe symbol means, I've looked it up and apparently the meaning varies with context.

I think it's I (capital i) for current, not pipe. If you plug current into the formula the units work out, assuming X is reactance.
