No. A half wave rectifier means you'd only be using half of the cycle. It won't reduce the voltage.I have an electronic device who works with 110V but I'm in EU. Is it a goos idea to replace the full bridge rectifier by a simple diode to have a half wave rectifier to have about 103V?
Is this device like a computer? Many things now days have a switch mode power supply (SMPS) built into them, with either a switch on them near the cord, or they automatically change internally to the proper mains voltage.I have an electronic device who works with 110V but I'm in EU
