Hi everyone,

I have a headphone amp that is setup for 220v. I moved back to the US and want to switch it over to 110v. I hope someone can give me instructions to move the needed wires to switch it over.

The amp has 2 transformers, each has 5 wires in this order G R1 B1 R2 B2

Currently the R1 and B2 are connected together on each transformer.

B1B1 and GG to backside of the AC plug

R2R2 to the back of the ON/OFF switch

Per the guide (please see attached pics), I need to wires the R and B together, is my thinking correct? But to where on the backside of the AC plug? Polarity?

No change to the G wires (?)

Thanks for your help.

I rewired the right side. Red connects to Red and goes to power. Black connects to black and connects to the other power.

Something remains unclear to me. Could you tell me the reason of leaving the R1B2 connected on the transformer 1? Could having R1B2 short cause the amplifier to produce hum / hissing sound?

Would disconnecting the R1B2 on all transformers and then connect all red wires together all black wires together end up being the same with your solution?

This is a serious caution to the TS: The discussion applies to this transformer ONLY!!
There is no "universal standard" that can be trusted to apply every time.
