His title seems to answer your question. He specified “on Circuitverse“, which is an online digital logic simulator.

Plus if my math is correct, his project is now past due.

I suppose I have to work with a flip flop for that.
I would have drawn your counters like this:

I realize the display symbol you used didn't allow for a layout like this, but you could have still drawn the wires for both displays the same. I made up the symbols using wires in the schematic editor I use. Normally, I would have had the most significant bit for the decoders be on the left (the way I'd write the numbers), but doing it "backwards" made for a cleaner schematic.
