Hi everyone,
I've been reading many forum posts and articles about MOSFETS and reading their datasheets.
Although I'm getting more comfortable with the topic, I still have a lot of questions.
As I'm running out of time due to a timeline on my project, I decided to ask for help and see if what...
Hey there,
i couldn’t fall asleep trying to solve following scenario:
i have two power supplies running 24vdc in parallel, a main and one supplemental power supply. Both are being filtered with capacitors before supplying a single load.
Now if one wants to run it, such that the supplemental...
Hi, any idea of equivalent MOSFET, Transistor and IC given below.

These are the damaged components of my Sony Cassette Deck, model STR H100. And what is the symbol of the this ? (image2)
Hello,
I designed attached circuit to drive H Bridge. My generated input signals are in attached picture, duty cyce that I am using is 40% for each signal, 99 kHz frequency. As result I am getting really bad shape of signal on R9 resistor. I am no getting steep signal when I turning H bridge...
I want to switch on a 12V 1A(peak 1.4A) solenoid valve for 0.1-3 seconds(set using a trimpot) and then switch it off. I'm using 555(operating at 5V, triggered by a IR sensor which operates on 5V only) in monostable mode to generate a 0.1-3s pulse, which is fed directly to gate of mosfet(IRF540-...
Hi,
Just want to ask is it normal to have a high voltage drop across drain and source of the n-mos?
The VBAT node is at 3.6V while the VDD_MAIN node is at 2.7V. Gate voltage is at 3.37V.
Since the depletion type or depletion mode mosfet is "normally close", does it mean it does not require any gate voltage to "turn ON"?
i.e current can flow in the drain-source circuit easily without any gate turn on voltage. And hence no threshold voltage is applicable?
Hi all. I'm currently designing a circuit using a CYPD3177 USB Type C Controller to change the output voltage of a USB C power supply with power delivery support. I was looking at the example schematic in the datasheet to understand how the chip is used but I'm struggling to get my head around...
Hai Friends.
The above given is a current limiting circuit one I found from google.
https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/200716/current-limiting-with-mosfet
Can anyone explain how the circuit works?.
Hello, I have been build this high frequency solid state tesla coil for a while now and have tried quite a few different circuit with some success but ultimately I have fry a lot mosfets in the process, so far this is best I have came up with but I have a few problems.
1. Alot of these hfsstc...
Okay so my question relates to biasing and threshold voltage in a MOSFET amplifier. So in an amplifier the clipping occurs when the signal hits the power rails according to all the reading I’ve done. That’s how much voltage swing you supposedly have before clipping. So if you have an 18 volt...
In many Zener Diode datasheets, I have witnessed that in the Absolute Maximum Ratings section, they don't include the "Maximum Voltage" that can be applied to the Zener diode. If the applied voltage crosses the Zener breakdown voltage, then the voltage will start to conduct and will enter in the...
Hi Guys,
I have been looking around and working with the ZVS IH for a while now. But the problem is that it needs huge current in low voltage. I was thinking of a High voltage Low current IH. But couldn't find any thing good. My main motto here is to control the heating effect. I am trying to...
Hello everyone, I'm having difficulty simulating CADENCE, NMOS AND PMOS components are NOT enabled when making modifications, such as inserting values of width or length of their structures in the schematic [schematic]. It is impossible to do the simulation.
And in the layout there is no icon...
Hello,
I'm not quite sure about the specification of Gate-to-Source Forward Leakage (I_gss) given in many datasheets of MOS-FETs. I researched its definition and it seems to be the leakage current (for specific gate-source voltage), that flows from gate to source, while drain and source are...
Hi everyone,
I’m seeking guidance. I have a tricky situation which I don’t really know how to get out of.
I want to design a system which would consume the least amount of power possible.
The idea is to have an ESP8266 do a simple task every minute (updating a e-paper display) and sleep the...
I am in the process of designing a MPPT controller for a wind turbine.
There are plenty of MPPT boards (with BQ24650 MPPT charge controller ICs) but these are fixed voltage MPPT designs tailored for photovoltaic applications.
So I decided to make a simple DC converter (buck boost design, non...
hello, I have to build an automatic gain control using an FET and an Operational Amplifier, for a phototransistor (SFH314) so that when the signal of an IR LED is weak the AGC maintains the signal, and when the signal is strong reduces it, the gate of the FET I have to control it with the...
Hello everyone!
I'm currently designing a simple circuit which is working as I want but I'd like to make sure that I haven't done any dumb mistake. That's why I'm asking here.
I'd like a signal to switch ON a MOSFET in order to activate a relay. This signal is usually low (0 VDC) but sometimes...
