Hello ,

I am designing a colpitts oscillator. The inductor is fixed at 0.161m (see attached schematic). So I have to calculate the values of the cpacitors to give a particular frequency. Now I need to calculate the values of caps C7 and C8 for an oscillation frequency of 10kHz. After the calculation, I got the values of 5u and 2.3u...but the circuit does not oscillate using these...Can any one please tell me why???

Unless there is something your specifically want to deviate from the original thread, can I merge this with the original so all posts are in the same place. We don't want two threads asking the same question.
