ZVT Zero Voltage Transmission Question

Hello everyone!
I was hoping someone miggt be able to take a few moments to explain how the new ZVT metal detectors work that Minelab is selling.
I am familiar with the operation of VLF, PI, BFO, etc. But I cannot find much information on how the ZVT detectors work.

If I wanted to produce a really confusing explanation and not give out any details the result would look a lot like the paper found at the link in post #2. There are some errors and incorrect assertions.
