Any south American princes that have millions of dollars of inheritance and need to send it to someone for safe keeping until he gets out of the country?

How about the winnings from those lotteries in Venezuela? Am I gonna get my payout soon?

I have zero personal interest in anything 'vintage', except to sell everything I have myself that might get that label.

In the process of selling my old electronics, I have learned that there is a market for such stuff. A lot of my old junk sold for much more than I expected. Nothing big, just bigger than than the zero value that I expected. In my case this was mostly old Apple computers, but I've also sold other consumer electronics. Someone bought an old CD player!

I cannot imagine finding buyers without the aid of eBay or other online marketplaces. My suggestion is to start listing things there and see where there might be a market. You cannot predict it in advance, only with experience. My other suggestion is that this activity is unlikely to be worth your time.

The guys in the DIY pedal and amplifier forums will probably be more interested. As a suggestion, I'd spend some time reading and contributing to the forum(s) before making your sales pitch.

Not sure what you do actually mean or if you are a troll.

Whatever "treasure" you find, classifying, advertising, and collecting payment of every lot will take TIME. Even doing it for you personal genuine pleasure, it has a cost.

Not explored "Latino america" (?). Any chance of zapotecas or comechingones running a repair shop in precolombine times?

There is a market for vintage guitar stuff, but it's not here. This is where you get reminded how to wire the audio jack so the battery turns off when the sound is unplugged. We chase the gremlins inside the box. You want to sell it? Not here. Wrong audience.

Am I reading this correct?
Guy is in Latin America.. Has source of lots of old tube parts,etc... and thinks he wants to start up some business selling that stuff to other countries?

Whatever "junk" you think you have in Brasil I guarantee we have tons more of that same crap floating around here..
You can walk into just about any house in the US and find much of the same stuff in peoples basements, garages, attics,etc...

I've been in the process of moving and just pulled 24 old computers in one state or another from my attic.. Over 100 old hard drives,etc... tv's, pagers, first gen flip phones,etc...

I have been just dumping TONS of stuff off at the local junkyard.. Half of the stuff gets immediately picked right out of the dumpster by the guys working there.. Their wives must HATE them..
Before I even left the parking lot at the junkyard last time the guy had already pulled a small car vacuum I just dumped in the trash and was already vacuuming his car with it..

I now have a new rule.. I put a date of when I "last touched" that item.. If its more than 2 years old.. Off to the trash it goes.. If I touch it.. a new date goes on..

Or maybe you just need a bigger place... :D
I've never seen a place that couldn't be filled with junk if you live there long enough.:(
Right now, there are corporations that rent places to store your junk, anywhere from a drawer in a wall to the size of a garage. You can order a shipping container delivered to your house, put your junk in it, and have it hauled away so you can pay by the month to store junk. You can rent all the "bigger places" you want.

When I put my junk in a shipping container and have it hauled away, I don't pay by the month. I pay once...to put in in the dump.

This may not be an accurate or fair description of Henry Ford. It is a hard argument to make in light of the creation of what is arguably one of the great American companies of the 20th century. You can say he was uneducated, narrow, parochial, and numerous other pejoratives. To say he was stupid or an idiot is a bit of a heavy lift.

Not me! I can't count how many times some item I picked up 10 15+ years ago and stuff in a box saved my butt and or someone else's.

One thing I've learned is that the difference between junk and treasure is a fine line and a little knowledge makes all the difference when choosing. Recently I was sorting through a bunch of my mother's stuff that had been in storage. I found mementos from a trip she took with my dad in 1949 before any of us kids came along. Lots of photos, postcards, brochures, maps, that kind of stuff. I kept the personal photos and tossed the rest. Can't keep it all, right?

The very next DAY I watched an episode of American Pickers where they paid hundreds of dollars for a handful of old roadmaps and such, basically the same stuff I had just thrown out but not nearly as good. Slap to the forehead!

I can just imagine the mom's that threw out this junk after the boy went off to college.
I lost my comic books from the 1950's to my mother's errant hand, :( but I took my vinyl from the 1960's with me.
Anyone for Beatles, Beach Boys, or Mama's and Papa's on a '45?:)

I guess the irony of old junk is that, if most of us didn't lose it over time, the fraction remaining would never appreciate in value.
