Xbox One Controller desoldering help

Some background: I have a large console controller collection and sometimes I run into defective controllers. I have experience repairing them and 90% of the time I fix them. But the new Xbox One controllers have really tiny soldering points for their analog sticks with lead free solder. I'm having a really hard time getting out the solder and I don't want to break any more of my controllers.

I have no issues desoldering older xbox one controllers (the older non-3.5mm controllers) as they have lead soldering. But these lead free solders are really tiny and lead free.

I use a S-995A desoldering vacuum gun and it goes up to like 490C. I also have a cheaper 30watt vacuum pump. Using each I have about a 50% chance of getting out the solder correctly but I need to get them all out to be able to replace the analog stick. My guess is that the soldering nozzle I have for the gun is too large. I now have the choice of buying a 1mm or a 1.2mm nozzle for it.

Does anyone have experience with these? I'm pretty sure there's someone on here that knows. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
