X-Position beam adjustment on Hameg 5014-2 Spec. Analyser

Hi,

I've been a member for a couple of years but this is my first post.

I have a Hameg 5014-2 Spectrum Analyser, it works fine and is accurate. However, there is one annoying thing about it, the centre frequency does not align with the centre graticule. There is also a trace rotation adjustment pattern accessible via the front panel, the centre of which is also displaced to the left of the centre graticule. The frequency readings, using a marker, are correct so this is more of an annoyance than a problem.

I've checked the service manual and also had a look inside the box, there doesn't appear to be any way of adjusting the X-Position of the beam. The only trimmers referred to in the service manual schematics are for Intensity, Astigmatism, and X-Gain. Also these are the only easily accessible and annotated trimmers on the CRT/XYZ board, accessible by just removing the back cover.

Does anyone have experience with this analyser and if so any ideas if the X-Position adjustment is possible?

Thanks for any help.

All the best

Rod
