Hello everyone, a quick background to my project, I have a mini rc crawler and I am trying to get my remote winch working. As I mentioned, the winch works by a wireless remote control. The remote had 2 buttons; one button to release the cable and the other button to retract the cable. I have taken the remote apart and as I will show everyone, I desoldered the two buttons and in their place, I soldered 4 seperate wires; 2 sets. One set of wires (1 black and 1 red) was hooked to one button and the other set of wires (also 1 black and 1 red) was hooked to the other button.

What I am trying to do I wire up a 6 post momentary toggle switch in place of the 2 buttons.

Please refer to the photos of what I am working with. If anyone could help.me wire the switch up so that 1 position releases the cable and the other position retracts the cable, I would appreciate it.

The pair of wires from one push button should go to the middle top and the right top connections. The pair from the other push button should to the middle bottom and the left bottom connections. It does not matter which wire red or black is connected to the middle connections. I assume the a 3 position switch biased to the center off position.
