Wiring of a staircase timer switch

    Hi all,

    I bought a staircase light timing switch to control the on time of a heater. The wiring diagram I received with the timer switch is similar to the one attached. Should I wire the heater as shown in the attached diagram, or am I misinterpreting the instructions?

    Looks ok to me, is pin 2 for manual override?

    Heaters tend to need more power than lights. Are you sure the timer can handle enough current?

    Thanks for the replies.
    @Dodgydave I believe pin 2 is the timer trigger.
    @AlbertHall , the specs states that the timer can handle up to 16A, which should be enough for the heater.
