Hi, I was working on a wireless transfer project for fun. I was able to replicate the schematic that his guy have here here http://www.instructables.com/id/Wireless-Power-Transfer-Simple-and-Fast-Way/
Was wondering if someone here can that is familiar with this subject can help using the similar schematic but increase the size of the coverage area.
I want the Tx(Transmission) side to have a cover area of 13x15inches and the Rx(receiving) side size to be just about 1inch in diameter and able to light up about 15-20 3volt led bulbs. Can you please list out the components that I need that use, how many windings I need to do for the Tx side and Rx side. I would like to use a 9v battery on the Tx with out put of 5-6v. Or if someone has a simple formula to show me how I can achieve this it would be great. Thank you so much.

Transmission area 13"x15". Receiving area 1"x1". Isn't that Horribly inefficient?

I mean. Since your receiving area is so small and your transmission area is so large, most of the energy will just go "out there".

Sorry, I'm new to this and just do this for fun. If I know it was horrible I wouldn't have asked here. I have this wireless led chess set. http://www.amazon.com/LumiSource-SU...UTF8&qid=1402186288&sr=8-1&keywords=led+chess I opened it and they are doing the same thing. they have 3 winding on the primary side and on the secondary side they have 200+ winding with really small wire. their output voltage is .1 of a volt. I thought to myself if they can do it, I probably can do it too right.. jus wondering..
