Is there a such thing as a wireless CD players where there is no wire connecting the head phones to the actual CD player. If not, would it be possible to make one.

what you need there is an audio transmitter/receiver. and to make things small you have to use SMDs. for headphone amp you can use the THS6012, it's one of the best in the market now.
