Hello, I am hobbiest, build scale models (scifi, mostly trek) see my profile for a readers digest of who I am.

Question on restricted topics, what does 'LEDs to mains' mean?

I ask cause LED's are my vehicle for models, do not plan on adding sound to any (of course that would change "IF" ppl took an interest in buying my models, the ADHD causes probs with names and numbers so I can easily confuse myself, I tend to either miss the obvious or make it more complex than I need to, case in point, I was having probs figuring out how to tie all my led flasher boards together, when I did they didn't work right, spent too much time trying to find a circuit to distribute the power properly, when someone showed me my BK 1611 power supply was not working properly (is limiting current) still waiting on advice on how to fix it, I have schematic..

I am a communicator, so please do not missread, I tend to argue, but that does not mean I will not follow advice/listen, I tend to get ahead of myself, (the power supply thing, I had argued with him, and still followed his advice, ie testing with wall wart, I did acknowledge and thank him for his advice)

is facebook link gonna be working soon?

Moderator Edit: Because this is drifting so far off topic with so many posts I have created a new thread to carry on the conversation here...

Hi my name is Tasos, i am Greek and i am electronic engineer. I like to explore-searching anything new about everything...i will be happy to helpful each to other.

Hi, fellow community members, I have never involved in the electronics field throughout my career, however, the basic electronics study I had during my high school period triggered my interest in learning this subject again after I retired recently. So I have become interested in repairing household appliances, and from time to time I get stuck in the repairing process on something, I thought to myself wouldn't it be helpful to have knowledgeable and experienced guys to ask for some ideas. Therefore, I searched on the web and landed on this platform.

This is a good place to land, but be warned: You will be warned often not to get yourself killed working on things that plug into the wall outlet.

Automotive modifications are not allowed on this website.
Your other study projects are welcome and there are a lot of smart people here. :)

I am an electronic's hobbyist since I was in high school. Before I retired I was a Quality / reliability engineer so I know a few things and learning a lot. I will do my best to offer free advice if I have any knowledge of what I am talking about.

Greetings from lovely Cleveland, Ohio. My name is Ron and as can be seen I use Reloadron in the forums. I retired at age 63 in 2013 from the B&W (Babcock Wilcox) Nuclear Operations Group in Euclid, Ohio USA. While I started with an ameture radio hobby in '63 electronics put beanies and weenies on the table for my entire career. My other hobby is the shooting sports and now retired I am an avid range rat with a love of high power rifle shooting. As I work through my second year of retirement I am enjoying life. Kids grown with kids of their own my wife Kathy and I are enjoying life. The only forums I am active in are electronics and shooting related. That about covers it for me. :)
