I can't say I still use it much, but I still have my C128 with a 4 Gig CMD hard drive and Super CPU set up in the living room.

Hi I'm Cameron. I'm a dude who is pretty clueless about a lot of electrical engineering "stuff" but I thought this website would help me get help and learn concepts a lot faster.

Hi,

Malcolm Whinfield, I am a qualified radio technician although training was in general electronics back in 1980's.

It has taken many years, but at 50 I decided to study for my degree in Electronic and Communication Electronics currently in my 3rd year. I have a business that deal with electronic assisted devices for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, but after the degree hope to delve into my design passion.

I love putting my mind to things and look at putting things together most lately to help my profoundly Deaf wife and also electronics in my passion in Astronomy.

G'Day all from WA (Western Australia) not Washington :)

I am a chemistry professor at a college in NY. I have an interest in electronics and semiconductor devices at the fab level and applications. I want students to have a understanding and willingness to apply electronics whenever they see a need no matter their major.

I have watched whole industries grow up based on the interface between chemistry and electronics. There is a point where the orbital electrons can be detected, counted, compared, and manipulated into useful, large scale, real world results. Just add a half a dozen microprocessors and you can turn a sewage treatment plant into a car wash for anything that gets within 50 yards of the place.

After earning a BS in Biology, I didn't know what I wanted to do, so I enrolled into a metal fabricating program... and fell in love. Now, I know exactly what I want to do. I want to marry my skills with electronics and start building/repairing complex things for a living. Hope this site will help me get there.

Bucket list:
  • espresso machines
  • distilleries
  • annealing kilns
  • general appliances
  • renewable energy sources
  • CNC/robotics

Depends really on the damage caused to the tendon that runs between the 2 sesamoids. How much pain did you have, and the duration?

I guess not much, since I realize now from the xray that it's my right foot, not my left. But at the time (last year) my foot swelled to twice its size and I was incapacitated for a few days. My pod says it basically disintegrated into at least 3 pieces. It doesn't hurt when I run, but I do limp in the AM for a bit after I wake up.

@Others: I guess I should have posted this in "Show your picture, one-by-one."
