I'm an electro-mechanical engineer (a mixture of electrical and mechanical engineer). I have very basic electronics knowledge, so I decided to start a new hobby: Arduino. I love it and I'm very exited with all the projects can be done using it, but as I said I need to learn some electronics details to fully enjoy working with microprocessors.

How to start a new thread or post here? I have a query..
Hi waterineyes,

First click on the "Forums" tab, then select the forum that best fits your question. At the top of the new page you should see a button labeled "Post New Thread". Once you click that an editor should appear and you can post your question.

Hello, My name is Mic, I live in Virginia, USA. I have no experience in most of this but a desire to try. Currently I am at this board as I have a treadmill with a bad motor board. Similar to some of the other posts. Thanks. Love puzzles.....

Hey everyone! I'm a 3rd yr engineering undergrad trying to get out of the theory and into the fun practical bit!

Electronics and software are my main areas of interest, with a strong lean currently towards audio stuff. There's only so much window-shopping one can do in the local audiophile hi-fi shop ;)
I also got an Arduino Due a couple of months ago, which I am thoroughly enjoying. I've certainly got the bug now.

My personal projects so far are a pair of bookshelf speakers, and an almost-complete 8x8x8 rgb led cube.
Planned for the future is a set of hifi amplifiers, valve preamp, and then a solid state power amp (probably gainclone)
Hi all,

Hello every one,
I'm a 58 year old that dabbles in a lot of things. I do woodworking, metal fabrication, and some little PLC programming, electrical installations and/or replacement of failed motors. I work in the electrical maintenance of a plant in the Pacific Northwest. Through the years I've accumulated a few electronic parts, so I can build devices that will light up and/or make noise and have fun! I do it everything safely, electricity is a very powerful toll that can't be taken lightly...pardon the pun!
