The "Who are you?" thread is to introduce yourself.hello guys, im a brand newcomer both on the forum and into electronics. i've just grown much interest into electronics and i intend to register with a local university, im in South Africa.
Now, my first project is that i wanna build some mirrored 5mm LEDs to produce an infinity-look like of the LED array. Altogether they are 200 and they draw an average of 20milli-amps at 2.7V each. Now i want to plug it on a 230AC outlet so my problem is on getting the right chip or circuit that can give me that current and voltage, anyone who can help?
How's it going everybody? I'm a former aircraft electrician with the USAF and am now a full time student working towards my associates in industrial maintenance. I also work full time at a battery manufacturing plant and have a newborn son, so I joined in the hopes that I can pick some brains around here as mine isn't always working at full strength.
Hi,I am lydia, I got my bachelor's degree in june this year
Hi all,
I just began an electrician apprenticeship in July that I’ll be in for five years. I’ve always loved taking something apart, seeing what the guts look like and then putting it back together...whether it’s a radio, laptop or vehicle. Half the time it still works when I’m done.
I came across this site while researching parallel vs. series circuits. I have a great teacher but everyone learns differently. Your site explained them in a way I totally understand. Needless to say, I am now a loyal follower.
Glad to be here.

Hello everyone.. I am a 22 year old trying very hard to learn electronics . I do have an associates degree in computer and electronics engineering technology, but I feel as if I did not learn near enough what I should have.. so here I am now hoping to learn and receive feedback from all experienced members. I currently work at an audio company repairing audio equipment such as: Amplifiers, DAC's, Pre's, Processors, Powered and Passive Speakers etc. So, if there are any books or places that I may go to just start from the basics and start to learn everything once again so I can become a "professional" would be helpful. I understand that this is not an overnight process but learning more and knowing exactly everything that is going on in circuitry is something I really want to accomplish no matter what.. please help
Welcome to the forum guys and gals. You all indicated that you recently entered the job market with some technical skills. I hope you all have an easy time finding a job in your selected field.I just completed my bachelor's in Computer Electronics Engineering over the weekend and is excited about attaining deeper knowledge. I find this site quite intuitive.
