This is the new (Ver. 2) Useful Website for Electronics thread. The old (Discontinued) thread can be found here.

All suggestions for websites should be made in this thread. The OP will act as a categorised listing of all websites.

Thanks to web for taking the time to compile this listing.

Hello,

An interesting link site is from educypedia, a belgian site.
Most links are english but some are dutch, german or french (mentioned after the link).
Here is the link for the electronics page :
EDUCYPEDIA - electronics
Here is the link for the computer page :
EDUCYPEDIA - computer
And here is the link for the science page :
EDUCYPEDIA - science

I have found a website with all kinds of applets to explain circuits.
http://www.falstad.com/circuit/e-index.html
The same site has also all kinds of math physics and engeneering applets.
http://www.falstad.com/mathphysics.html

I am missing one too.
http://www.101science.com/eleclinks.htm

This one comes from.
http://www.101science.com/

An other interesting linksite is.
http://www.aade.com/links.htm

During a search on the internet I saw this paoge from MAXIM-IC.
http://www.maxim-ic.com/cookbook/powersupply/
It has a lot of "tested" sample schematics for a variaty of DC-DC converters.
All designs are also available in one PDF:
http://www.maximintegrated.com/cookbook/powersupply/power_supply_ebook.pdf

I explored the MAXIM site a little bit further and found a large list of Design Information
http://www.maxim-ic.com/design/information.cfm

For people who are interested in old radios and repairing them, take a look at this site.

http://www.oldradios.co.nz/

Here a lot of information on the radios and tubes can be found.

A handy site for all kinds off connections is The Hardware Book.
http://www.hardwarebook.info/
It has information about connectors, cables, adapters, computers and manufacturers.

I have found a website where a lot of (old) manuals can be found.
http://bama.sbc.edu/
It happens pretty ofthen that the site is not available.
Bama has a "mirror" (a copy of the complete manuals list) here:
http://bama.edebris.com/manuals/
The brands are on the left of the page.

I found a website with a lot of "old technical books online"
http://www.tubebooks.org/technical_books_online.htm

Here I found an other old books "library":
http://www.vintageradio.com/index.php?a=28&b=153

I have found some RF related websites.
http://www.rfcafe.com/
http://www.dxzone.com/
And one with a lot of free e-books.
http://www.rfzone.org/free-rf-ebooks/

I noticed some links are not available anymore.
You can go "back in time" with the waybackmachine.
http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
Copy the not working link in the search engine and press "Take Me Back".
This will produce a page with dates where the page was still available

Microchip has in cooperation with transim introduced a circuit design & simulation program called "Mindi".
http://webdc.transim.com/microchip/

I found some websites with repair notes and tips.
For TV and Monitors:
http://www.e-repair.co.uk/tipsmon.htm
http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/monfaq.htm
http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/tvfaq.htm
http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/montest.htm
For SMPS:
http://www.repairfaq.org/sam/smpsfaq.htm

Here is a link to Martindale's Calculators On-Line.
http://www.martindalecenter.com/Calculators.html

There you will find calculators for ALL kind of calculations.

An other source for calculators is this page :
http://www.educypedia.be/electronics...alculators.htm

With calculators for more topics:

Online calculators: Antenna design software Components Audio Digital General RF Calculators Circuit theory Filters Resistor code Transmission line

Here I found a website with SMD codes and MOSFET crossreference list.
http://clivetec.superihost.com/index.htm

Here I found Duncan's Amp Page:
http://www.duncanamps.com/

There you also can find a lot of spice models:
http://www.duncanamps.com/spicemodels.html

Here I found a website with a lot of video lectures:
http://www.learnerstv.com/course.php?cat=Engineering
This is one of the catagories of the learnerstv website:
http://www.learnerstv.com/index.php

I got one from wr8y:
http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/web/courses/courses/index.htm

And one on calculus:
http://online.math.uh.edu/HoustonACT/videocalculus/

And here is another free video lectures page:
http://www.freevideolectures.com/index.html

There will be an overlap with the videos from learnerstv.

Do you know the free book centre?
http://www.freebookcentre.net/

The electronics books are a little down,
But also programming and computer are there.

I noticed a lot of manufacturers also have a lot of information to dive in.
Here are a couple of examples:
Analog Devices: http://www.analog.com/en/sitemap.html
National: http://www.national.com/analog/solutions
NXP: http://www.nxp.com/technical-support-portal/
TI: http://focus.ti.com/analog/docs/ana...l&rootFamilyId=57&familyId=57&docCategoryId=1

National also has a nice part search tool:
http://www.national.com/products/catalog.do

Here I found a website with a lot of information on capacitors:
http://my.execpc.com/~endlr/index.html

Here is a translated by google page for info on TUN and TUP.
http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=nl&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http://a29.veron.nl/tuntup.htm&sl=nl&tl=en

There is also a page like that on DUS and DUG.
http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=nl&sl=nl&tl=en&u=http://a29.veron.nl/dugdus.htm

Here I found a website with a lot of links for audio calculations:

Here I found a nice link page from the university of Exeter with a lot of tutorials:
http://newton.ex.ac.uk/teaching/CDHW/Electronics2/ElectronicsResources.html

Here I found a website with a lot of "vintage" schematics for radios and phonographs:
http://techpreservation.dyndns.org/schematics/

Here I found a site with a lot of links to very old (vintage) circuits:
http://vintageradio.me.uk/radconnav/radcon.htm

There are also pages with data and suppliers on the top.

Here I founs a page from QRP Homebuilder with some handy circuits for semiconductor matching:
http://www.qrp.pops.net/general-electronics2010.asp

For the matching circuits see the sections 3 4 and 5.

For special parts you could take a look at this webshop:
http://www.askjanfirst.com/eindex.htm

Here are some usefull calculators, mainly for RF.
You can calculate attenuators, straightline inductors, capacitors with them:
http://chemandy.com/calculators/calculator-index.htm

There are also some technical articles on the same site:
http://chemandy.com/technical-articles/technical-article-index.htm

Here I found a website with a lot of info on SMD codes:
http://www.s-manuals.com/smd

http://www.hallelectronics.com/cross/index.php3
http://hamradiodatacenter.com/diy/cross_references.htm
https://ec.irf.com/v6/en/US/adirect/ir?cmd=NewCrossRef

It can happen that some of the links where posted by me or others before.

The website of archive.org has a lot of old datasheet books and application books available.
Just have a look in the list of about 500 books:
https://archive.org/search.php?query=collection:folkscanomy_electronics&sort=-publicdate

I have been looking on the site some more and found some old electronics magazine there:
https://archive.org/details/73-magazine

Tina-TI is freeware. It's available from Texas Instruments' website.
http://www.ti.com/
Under "Design Support", click the "Analog eLab Design Center" link (2nd from last)
TINA-TI is the first item in the "Simulate" column (4th)
