No USB C bcuz the project i have going on its about to power up a Single Board computer with 5V and 3A (Asus Tinker Board s) with a DIY Stepdown Converter. With a USB C to USB A adapter cable, the spec says it can deliver up to 5A@5V but the limit on USB 3 is 3A@5V which is really pushing it.

For a male, I would look at just buying a high power USB A cable.

MIcro USB 3 connectors have an absolute maximum of 3A@5V but an adapter to a USB C charger should do 5A.

Look into that.

If you need a full 3A, I don't see a choice. But, research it, it's complex and the cable matters.

 

It sounds ok, I would have a look on the net, for a manufacturer that cells high power output USB chargers, and buy one of their brand adapter cables.
You could also try looking for a "vention" cable on ebay or aliexpress. I have used them for high current charging with micro usb, and they seem a good brand but cant be 100% certain!

Yes it is a complex topic. Gotta take care of the AWG as well. Otherwise it will end up in a boot loop. But thank you anyways

yeah i get me one on Amazon a usb c to mirco usb cable. I will check out if this works for me. Otherwise I'm going to send them back. thnx for your help sir.

 

Alright i finally found a solution you can use a regular USB A Connector. But you have to short D+ and D- out or you just put a 200 ohm resistor between them so any device can identify it as DCP - Dedicated charging port.
