Still trying to fix my Yamaha BK organ. Turns out now I need a toshiba 25a485. Anyone got any ideas where I might source some of them. Or one at least.
If that device is a transistor then it is much more likely to be a 2SA485, which should be available It would be a PNP silicon transistor, TO39 case, Hfe 100 for most versions,, with a substitute being a 2N4036 or 2N4037. (This information from Towers International Transistor Selector), third edition.
25A is not a reasonable transistor series designation.
Thank you very much, guys. Yes, my ignorance and rotten handwriting. 2sa485. Having a hard time finding one. I can trust those substitutes - 2SA1358, 2SA1096, or 2SB1212 ? And is that like these on ebay or this "-Y" thing changes it somehow and they're no good for the job?
The subs I posted are from the 1995 Japanese sub manual. I have used this guide for many years in repairing audio and other gear and have not had any issues with subs used.
well thank you very much. i already bought a second hand 2sa485 at great cost ($AU40) on ebay but in my ignorance I worry I might need a pair. You know that matching pair thing. NPN and PNP. I'm a bit uncertain what my techie was telling me on the phone. He was talking about that.
If these will do I'll be well away. A pair for $AU7. Be nice to have that resource in the background.
If I need more to fix this old Yamaha BK7I perhaps I should get hold of a substitutes manual, too. Though I just emailed Toshiba this morning regarding this question and perhaps it will turn out that they themselves will be all the resource I need.
