I'm not talking about N-Channel vs. P-Channel, I'm talking about things like:
aMOS
CoolMOS
HiPerFET
MDmesh
SuperFET II
SuperMESH
SuperMOS
UniFET

I know it's a bit esoteric, but I'm curious to understand how the different internal physics work and affect things. I rather like understanding these things.
I've done some searching and I can't turn up anything more than advertisements and listings for purchase. I am looking to understand the differences between the named types and a regular plain old mosfet.

Often these are just manufacturers trade names. Go to the manufacturers web sites, look at some data-sheets and compare the specs.

 

After spending 8 hours entering data from 26 different types of MOSFETs into a table to compare them, I can honestly say that this is not a viable route. Granted, I could have just held one datasheet up to another and tried to cross-compare them, but having to navigate my eyes to the new position in each datasheet where the information was would probably have reduced my efficiency equally if not more.
I'd need to enter 100s of MOSFETs into a table in order to get a statistically significant amount of data to extrapolate the strengths and weaknesses of each design.

 

Different type of MOSFETs are like any product. Every company has a name that indicates ours is better than all others.
Is "cool" better than "fast"?

I am using SIC and GAN. And each of those have subcategories. UJ4SC075011B7S GPI65030DFN
I am also using J-FETs that are incredibly fast. UJ4SC075018B7S
I am using some of these: IXBK75N170 IGBT 1700V 200A.
