What to do with dried solder paste?

1) Put dry solder paste in a medium sized glass jar with a label
2) buy new solder paste
3) use the new solder paste for your current project
4) cap securely after use and place it next to the glass jar (see #1 above)
5) when you need solder paste some time in the future, if it's not dry, go to step 3, if it's dry, go to step 1

At some point, your children will discard the glass jar.

I will try one of these.
You can use 90+% isopropyl alcohol to thin the flux, but you can't use alcohol alone to rehydrate solder paste. I tried and it splatters.

You can use rejuvenated paste right away, but I let it sit overnight. Rejuvenated paste should only be used for hobby projects.

I wouldn't use a flammable solvent to fluidize the paste. Note I used the word "fluidize" because "rehydrate" means add water again.

Also, look at some recent patents regarding solder paste And the preferred solvent appears to be diethylene glycol dibutyl ether (DEG-DBE). It has a boiling point near 500°F. A closely related alternative. Some very slow drying artist paint and ink thinners are made of this solvent - check an art supply store.
