Hi,

I attach the nameplate of two different motors. I'm confused about what type of motor they are. I mean, for example. motor 1 says 280-340VDC, so is it a BLDC motor? Motor 2 says 3 phase 230V Star connection, so I suppose it's 3 phase AC motor. However, as they are motor for sewing machines, position needs to be controlled, so they all should be Servo motors. I would appreciate anyone help clarify my mind. I've got wires crossed. Thank you.

 

I have worked on Juki industrial sewing machines and they had The Juki DC motor with DC speed controller from KB or other simple DC speed controller.
The Efka motor I have never seen. It's labeled as "DC Motor" but has 3ph specs. Says "For Efka-control box" - My educated guess is its a BLDC, wound proprietary for Efka, and maybe hard to repurpose. The Juki motor though, should be easy to use with most DC controllers.
