hi im trying to bring back to life a spherex 5.1 Xbox surround sub and im looking at the circuit for the power supply and noticed a couple metal wires on the board and one had a little corrosion and i scraped it off and it looks broken does any one know what this is? there circled in pink

Since the silkscreen shows line, and the resistors are called out in their markings, I am going to say this is an older PCB, single-sided, and the designer wanted to treat it as double sided, hence the jumpers—probably avoiding traces on the reverse.

The only other use I have seen of such jumpers (aside from deleting optional components like attenuating resistors) is a somewhat bigger version as a burden resistor for current sensing.

Jumpers. They're common on single sided boards. They're used when there's no room for a trace on the bottom.
