Hello guys, I'm sure this wont be hard for most. I found a fault on this audio power supply board. I am just trying to identify component so I can replace it. I jumpered and tested and confirmed that the part I have remove is the fault. Part removed from FB502. My guess is a temperature co efficient resistor. Any help would be great thanks.

Based on what it looks like, the corresponding inductor mark on the back of the board where it and other components labelled with the "FB" prefix are, the part number (you said FB502), and considering it's in a power supply board, it might be a ferrite bead (a kind of RF choke), placed to filter out unwanted signals from power supply to the audio components, but I'm not 100% sure.

Agree, and as it would be just a piece of wirre pasing through the bead, I think it is more likely to have been one of the solder joints not the wire itself.
