A long time ago, at a white elephant table, I picked up this component in a baggie of electronics stuff. It looked useful and I’ve hung onto it. Well finally, I have a use for it, but I need more. I’ve been searching headers and pins and haven’t found anything like it.

Does anyone know what it is and how/where I can find more? Doesn’t have to be a double row; in fact a single row is preferred.

Thanks.

@MaxHeadRoom

i ordered exactly what I needed (single versus double) headers.

This is my application. I designed small PCBs to drive up to six loads (typically LEDs) from an Arduino GPIO pin. They can be used in a row or stacked so that they’ll fit into an N scale building. One of my buildings is 1” by 1.5” by 2” for example.

I tried to stack them with short lengths of wire but assembly and alignment was an issue. Note the bends and twists in the picture below. Note: this was a test and isn’t functional, so forgive the poor soldering job.

Thanks again for your help.

If you search on "2.54mm pitch Header" in something like EBay you will find goodies like this:

DigiKey, Mouser, etc, will also have them.

Some come with very long pins so you can space your boards well apart.
