What is the state of a Falling Object?

Any known force would require 10 times the amount of applied force to move the ball with 10 times the mass.

As well...since the balls are accelerating...a force would not only have to be applied 10 times the amount for the 10 kg ball...but such a force would have to be applied to a greater and greater extent to create acceleration.
Lets see...

Newtons law of gravity f = G m1 m2/R^2 tells us that the 10 kg ball WILL be pulled down with 10 times the force as the 1 kg ball...

Newton's second law F=MA tells us that a constant force applied to a fixed mass WILL result in constant acceleration...

Split, I'm totally open to new ideas, but they have to make sense; when they contradict basic physics principles then it's hard to take them seriously.

The math just tells you how the objects behave. It doesn't tell you where the force is generated. If fact I don't think that math has been proven to be correct. It just looks correct in all the cases we tested so far.

Gotcha Bill? Really? I have to conclude that this is indeed a futile arguement with someone who is not really interested in the physics, but being right at all costs. The walls of text do nothing for the arguement. Basically I am done here, though I will keep an eye on it to make sure it stays civil.

Davebee...what you have posted above is my POINT!

Gravity is effecting the 10 kg object in the same manner it is EFFECTING the 1 kg object.

Now try doing this with an EM generated Force...YOU CAN'T!

It would take 10 times the amount of EM Generated Force to accelerate a 10 kg iron ball to 32 feet per second squared as it would take to accelerate a 1 kg Iron Ball.

Also...the amount of EM Generated Force needed to accelerate a 10 kg Iron Ball to accelerate at 32 feet per second squared and then have that same amount of EM Generated Force hold that 10 kg Iron Ball to the Magnetic Plate will cause that 10 kg Iron Ball to have a Magnetic Attraction to the Magnetic Plate much greater than 10 kg of Force.

That 10 kg Ball would seem to weigh 3 to 10 or more times...like 100 kg sitting upon that Electromagnetic plate that it is attracted to and comes to a rest upon after either being caught or bouncing up and down a few times.

That same Iron Ball on Earths surface weighs 10 kg...where as the EM Generated Force to accelerate that same Iron Ball to 32 feet per second squared and once that ball is caught at the magnetic plate and comes to a rest...that EM Force will make it seem to weigh much more than 10 kg.

IF ANYONE KNOWS THE EQUATION TO CALCULATE THE ASSOCIATIVE WEIGHT OF A 10 KG IRON BALL AT REST AS AN EM FORCE STRONG ENOUGH TO ACCELERATE THAT 10 KG IRON BALL TO 32 FEET PER SECOND SQUARED FROM A DISTANCE OF 50 METERS...let me know.

No need to get angry Bill.

My GOTCHA was just an attempt to have some fun...there is no malicious intent.

I will be the first one to admit I am wrong if proven so...and if you can prove me wrong go right ahead.

Take a look at what I posted in reply to davebee. If there is anything there that you can prove to be wrong...by all means do so.

This is true but we do know what must interact...Quantum Fields...in order for an EM Generated Force or Kinetic Energy Transfer based Force...to Force objects into motion.

This is not so as far as Gravity is concerned and that is why I believe Gravity is an EFFECT and I also think it is possible that the state of a falling object is a different state than an object that has been FORCED into motion by Kinetic Transfer or EM Attraction or Repulsion.

I would like to note that Erik Verlinde at the University of Amsterdam suggested that...quote... gravity is merely a manifestation of entropy in the Universe, which always increases according to the second law of thermodynamics. This causes matter distribute itself in a way that maximizes entropy. And the effect of this redistribution be an emergent phenomenon, says physicist.

One of the most exciting ideas in modern physics is that gravity is not a traditional force, like electromagnetic or nuclear forces. Instead, it is an emergent phenomenon that merely looks like a traditional force.

This approach has been championed by Erik Verlinde at the University of Amsterdam who put forward the idea in 2010. He suggested that gravity is merely a manifestation of entropy in the Universe, which always increases according to the second law of thermodynamics. This causes matter distribute itself in a way that maximizes entropy. And the effect of this redistribution looks like a force which we call gravity....end quote.

This is VERY similar to my Theory that is SGE...Specialized Gravitic Effect...which is also the name of a topic I have placed here in the Physics Forum.
