I'm going through an old Atari 5200 Service Manual, and the parts list contains some "Carbon Metal Film" resistors. There's also Carbon Film in the list, which makes me think that the Carbon Metal Film resistor is really a Metal Film resistor.

Unfortunately, I don't have an actual 5200 to confirm so just going by the manual. Also, the manual doesn't list the tolerance, so can't further check my theory.

Is my assumption correct?

 

It's probably a mistake. There are carbon film, metal film, carbon composition, wirewound; but no carbon metal.
