I expect before long a study will claim climate change may cause impotence.
There is a reason (at least in mammals) that the testicles hang outside the body for cooling. So with Global Warming... And now all the alarmists have something new to worry and protest over.

If you were trapped in a house you would have to try and dig a chimney out your front door. Like a snow flood everywhere.
You wouldn't allow yourself to become trapped in the first place. You clear an area so you can enter/exit your house at whatever schedule is required by the weather.

You must not have ever been in deep snow. Under most conditions, it doesn't flow like water. The snow crystals tend to clump together. This is part of how snow tires work. Snow gets embedded in the deep grooves and that provides some friction with the snow on the road to give you traction.

I don't know where the original poster lives, but after getting literally tons of snow piling up around your house, Maybe you should consider moving to California where it's warmer all year. However, you will have to make a choice between earthquakes and severe snow storms.
Wait, there's always Florida. nice warm climate but large insects and hurricanes. I spent a good part of my life traveling the US and globally. If there really is a Utopia or Shangri-La out there I never found it. The very two best locations on planet earth were the one I just left and the one I was going to. :)
