Money, or more precisely, "Fiat-Currencies", are only a small part of the overall "problem".

Money is very valuable and necessary,
where-as Fiat-Currencies are a method of enslavement and theft.

All "Fiat-Currencies" have actually been eliminated, but the fact has not been announced yet.

The "supposed" narrative is "The BRICS association of Nations",
of which You are not likely to find any "non-propaganda" information,
are going to Precious-Metals-Exchange, and completely dropping Fiat-Currency-Exchange.
This is being done via non-publicly-announced use of particular Crypto-Currencies.
Many more very significant Nations have already joined BRICS, and more are currently applying.

The term "Crypto-Currencies" is sometimes replaced by
the term DLTs, or Distributed-Ledger-Technologies.

There are 2 distinct types of Crypto-Currencies, or DLTs .........

Centralized, and DE-Centralized.
The current "Banksters", of course, want "Centralized-Control",
which is simply "business as usual", but with a fancy Digital-Interface and a new name.

Decentralized-DLTs can be compared to a "Peer-to-Peer-Mesh-Network"
that is virtually impossible to hack.
BitCoin has proven this technology workable, and un-hackable, for ~16 years now.

BitCoin, ( and to varying degrees, certain other Crypto-Currencies ),
has a finite number of "Tokens" that can possibly ever exist, ( 21-Million max ),
but those "Full-Tokens" can be divided into 100-Million parts,
the smallest of which is called a "Satoshi",
which is named after Satoshi Nakamoto, who is "supposedly" the inventor of BitCoin.
No one actually knows for a fact who the inventor of BitCoin is or was.

How "Block-Chain-Technology" works.

Crypto-Currencies can work with Paper-Receipts, Plastic-Cards, or Cell-Phones,
just like the more familiar, and current, Fiat-Currencies or "Debt-Notes".

Precious-Metals are now being officially "tracked", and exchanged, via Block-Chain-Technologies
using a Holographic-Identifier vaguely similar to a microscopic QR-Code.

The government and governments in general love Block-Chain-Technologies instead of cash because of its traceable transactions and the history of every transaction ever made and all that will ever be made. There are ways to mix transaction if you're in league with outlaw countries like Russia that take a cut of the crimes for hiding crimes. All Crypto-Currencies are currently a ponzi scam that are being used by scammers (FTX is a great example), criminals, hackers, data extortionists etc..

This Satoshi Nakamoto love is a cover for rubes to think they are in something special as the actual (Fiat) money is leaving their wallets while the con-men smile, until they are in jail.

Yeah-right .........
That's why I can buy real Gold or Silver Bars or Coins and have it delivered to my door using BitCoin.

Sounds like you've got a bad case of "Black-Pill-itus" !!!
Really good things are coming.

It's a (mainly) free country, do what it takes with your money to make it a good one for you. I ran a bitcoin server back when you could still make a little money on PC scale processing power. I still power it up on one of my server just look at the transaction table statistics. It's still mainly traders doing trades with other to fake transaction and market value and not used in general commerce because it's far too slow and cumbersome to use directly.

Code:
4 ./bitcoin/build_msvc/libbitcoin_node
4 ./bitcoin/build_msvc/libbitcoin_wallet_tool
4 ./bitcoin/build_msvc/libleveldb
4 ./bitcoin/build_msvc/libminisketch
4 ./bitcoin/build_msvc/libsecp256k1
4 ./bitcoin/build_msvc/libtest_util
200 ./bitcoin/build_msvc
4005148 ./bitcoin
74544 ./.bitcoin/blocks/index
140074848 ./.bitcoin/blocks
2814512 ./.bitcoin/chainstate

Cryptocurrencies are a fiction that destruction of value is equivalent to creation of value.

Just one more lie in our topsy-turvy world.

"War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength."

Destruction is creation.

I'd rather trade tulips.

Slowness ???, That's why there are "clone" alternatives, such as Lite-Coin.

Anytime there is a Buck to be made there will be scammers and "flim-flam-men",
with nothing better to do,
even politicians get into the game,
( actually they're usually there, first in line, ahead of everyone else ).

Things have always been this way.

Caveat-Emptor ...........

Lite-Coin as in Lite-Scam?

There's nothing special about Bitcoin other than a willingness for some to dream.
I just fired up my bitcoind server program after years of being idle. It's pulling every transaction in the entire world from the last time it ran until synchronized with the network. I have my own wallet that might have a little Bitcoin dust in it. I'm very familiar with how Bitcoin and how the block-chain works in general.

It'll be interesting to know if you're be able to pull some money out of that old data ...
The Private Key or Seed Phrase(s) for my dust are long gone like a huge fraction of Bitcoin. That's major problem with Bitcoin not being a physical asset when only you hold it.

How Much Bitcoin Is Lost Forever and How Did It Get Lost?
It's almost impossible to know exactly how many Bitcoins have slipped through users' fingers since the cryptocurrency's launch in 2009. However, millions have certainly been irretrievably lost.

Cane Island investment manager Timothy Peterson has estimated that around six million BTC have been lost, a substantial chunk of Bitcoin's 21 million supply.

That took a while to synchronize.
120M ./blocks/index
585G ./blocks
4.0K ./wallets
11G ./chainstate
596G total for the Bitcoin transaction database.
