I don't know what it is going to turn out to be. I'll chip in my two cents when I can.

I would like to see HV allowed somewhat, as long as it is a reasonable manner. Ditto on legal car modifications.
Im with Bill on this. It is abit dificult if people who may be inquisitive dont get told how to handle HV & what to be aware of & may injure or kill them selves anyway.

I agree, but I didn't want to turn this into another saftey/HV discussion, so lets keep it on topic here...

{ about my bench pic} forgot to quote.

OOh. Wait a while..wify broke the cam. And my hot gun is under an upgrade. Can't let it's work fall behind. If I did every work I get will fall behind.
Will take a bit of time. Don't worry this thread will see it as soon I get a cam.

I like the boxes decorated with flowers, cute ;)

two things stand out

1. you should stop smoking, its bad for your health, you'll catch cancer
2. how many hard drives do you have!?

I'm jealous of the vast quantities of junk that guys like you and debe have readily at hand.
I need more junk.

Magnet, I have been salvaging components from equipment for many years. A great source of sometimes hard to get parts or are expensive to buy. Computer powersuplys are a great source of Mosfets & shottky diodes. Keep looking dissasembling things is also a great way of learning aswell.

Ya , I should quit smoking..bad habit. I think I will when I really settle down.

The hard drives are the ones I used in my MC PC and the Workstation.
In order to move I had to let go of some stuffs.

those HDD's are like 500Gb and 1Tb ones. I am slowly giving away the old 40 to 320 GB ones I used to have before, after transferring the data of course.
They will soon find it's way into the new HT PC that I am currently working on. I am trying to design a frame from plastics. Right now I just manage to make the rear IO panel.

Everything had to be planned in order to make it neat, low noise and tidy.

It's a project. I will post it indefinitely but not now

I've noticed, giant resistors and flybacks on the cheap if you know where to look.
I've also learned a thing or two about shielding and reducing electrical interference by looking at the stuff in old TV's

@ R!f@@, I usually just dissassemble mine and play with the magnets/shiny discs :D
Noone I know has any need for a 40G HD.

Smoking is for girls you know R!f@@ ;) Ha ha...But Joking aside in my country if you some people smoking public like on street. It will probably be a she(tand talkin in the cell phone of course) and not a he. And smoking also leave a thin film on things that is hard to remove. Give bad solder joints
I do not know how I shall say this nice and gentle. But I will have a try. R!f@@ YOU ARE A SLOB.....CLEAN UP YOUR DESK:D

Is it so that the wife of R!f@@ is opening lids and doing hard labor, while he is vacuuming?

Have they turned the traditional man/woman roles around.... And that's Paradise....
