Its a kind of homage.

 

Bench? I have one here some where. It has been so long since I have seen it I am not sure what it looks like. Unless I get a clean up bug I never can see much of it, enough to know it has not collapsed, yet! When I do clean up I spend so much time looking for "stuff" I never get anything done and "stuff" I find I lay on the bench, (Yeah, now I remember, I was looking for that last month) so I can us it. The cleaner it is when I finish my "clean up jag" the more "stuff" ends up being held for use.

Somebody gave me a box of games including Crysis, Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare (not #2), World in Conflict and a few more.

I also have Crysis 2 and have played the single player campaign to completion. But I had to wipe the drive because of a virus on XP and haven't got around to reinstalling it.

The computer was virtually free; a dual core AMD X2 64-bit 2.8GHz with Nvidia 9800 GT. I have yet to find a single game it will not play apart from DirectX 10 games... but I like the old games because they are cheap used.

The glider will shortly be flying . I have received my equipment to put on it and will be flying this weekend. This will be my first FPV flight.

Monitor was free, wouldn't turn on. Replace 6 caps and it's a beautiful, almost free (£2.50 for caps) 18" LCD. You bet I'm gonna use it!

Also new ThinkPad X201 (Not mine, on permanent loan. I didn't pay £1,800 for it!) I'm not gonna turn down a Core i5 2.4GHz (dual core with hyperthreading = almost quad core CPU.)

Well. following my move from Westcliff in Essex to South Wales. I have finally set up my new workshop. Everything was in boxes for about a year until I had put up all the internal stud work. I and my partner now live in our theatre and the workshop takes up about 28sq meters just down the hall from our living space. There is still work to be done and a little more sorting out, but it is nice to have the use of my workshop again.

 

Here's my tiny workspace. Now that I'm back home and getting things put away again, I will be moving back into more spacious digs in the next couple weeks. Also shown is my home made PIC discovery kit, a work that remains in progress .

 

Also, here is a pic of my mechanical shop. This was taken about 5 years ago, just after my stroke. I was trying to get back on my feet then. The (then) current project is in the foreground.

 

I like the big can of WD-40 on the shelf. Everything else, including the tools, is superfluous.

Edit: Oh, except for the roll of duct tape, which I fail to see in the photo. Where's Waldo?

 

The ever present roll of duct tape in there there, but not in the shot. And the sign on the wall was saved from when the building was a TV repair shop.

Oh please make it stop ... WD-40 has a place but also has a lot places where it needs to stay the hell away .... I use to study under a gunsmith and we to get a lot of people come in with guns soak in wd-40 and the it turns into a wax like shilack and jams the actions .. He made a lot money fixing WD-40 Snake oil...

I just get a lot people who act like it some kind of wonder lube .. Personal I use hoppes stuff with Break free for my guns ... What kind of Glock ???? Last time I shot a Glock was when I was 5 yrs old ...

I think that you wont find 1 gallon can anywhere in Europe because than shop's wouldn't be able to rip you off since you are buying large size can which costs less than 2 avg. WD40s while having double size .

You would need to buy 4x500mL WD-40s to get 1 Gallon.
