What crimping tool do AMP/Tyco connectors require? & How to recognize machined jaws?

I order some waterproof connectors from Aliexpress ( Aliexpress Connector ) . Attached is an image. What type of crimper tool does this connector require? I believe it is either SN-28B or SN-48B but I am not sure. IWISS has a SN-58B that combines the two tools IWISS SN-58B which is probably what I would get assuming SN-28B and/or SN-48B is the right crimper.

Also I read somewhere that there are SN-x8BM versions where the M means they are machined and they are silver whereas the stamped ones are black. So would this IWISS have machined jaws despite not have an M at the end?

It appears to be SN-48B:

Why do you care if the jaws are stamped or machined? Are you going to be doing a very large number of crimps?

$23.58 seems a bit expensive for just the crimper, so shop around.

The listing didn't give information regarding which opening to use (a typical omission on Ali Express). Use the one that fits the width of the connector the best.

Squeeze the insulator crimp until the tabs are parallel and match it to the opening that is a good fit for the width.

Thank you for the confirmation that an SN-48B is the right crimper. I have read that with the stamped ones you sometimes/often have to wiggle the crimped connector out of the crimping tool. While I am only going to do a few hundred crimps I rather pay $10 more and not have to deal with this (not sure if that is indeed the price difference).

Maybe they're not using the correct opening. SN48-B seems to use wire size instead of the opening size. The 0.25mm opening on my SN28-B corresponds to 1.6mm on my IWISS 3220M. The jaws on the IWISS aren't wide enough for DuPont connectors, so I use the SN28-B.

In any case, I wouldn't expect the connectors to "fall" out of the jaws because the crimp is being formed to them, so you'd expect it to be a friction fit after crimping.

I've done hundreds of crimps with my $15 SN28-B from Ali Express. The metal in the crimp jaw is much harder than the connectors, so I don't see wear being an issue.
