What cable to use

Hi again,
I need to wire a few usb connectors to a project I have just made. It’s a zoom button that mutes and unmutes the microphone I saw on an instructable. https://www.instructables.com/Zoom-Meetings-Physical-Mute-Button/
The thing is I am running out of usb cable to use, so want to buy some cable to put my own ends on.
So I know I need shielded cable, but could probably get away with it not being so. I also know that I want a flexible cable, not a CAT5 stiffness one.

So my question is....
What Should I be looking for the cable to be made from?

I have seen this, Multi-Conductor Cable Foil/Braid High Density Polyethylene/Semi Rigid Polyvinyl Chloride 4Conductors 28AWG 3.95mm 30V.

However I have no idea what sort of bendyness (is that a word?) polyethylene semi rigid cable is.

How can you explain how bendy it is? I suppose how tight a circle can it bend in without damaging it?

Can anyone help?
Can anyone point me to the place to get some that’s not to expensive and it cheaper to go to the Euro/Dollar store and cut them up!

Thanks.

USB is particularly demanding of the cables and connectors. It uses carefully chosen twisted pair cables with shielding, and the connectors are added and then have the body overmolded. I have not seen USB connectors meant to solder to cable stock, as I think this construction would likely not work well. I suggest you do what the instructables poster did, buy a commercial USB cable and cut off the device end.
