What budget (near $300) desktop milling machines are you guys using for PCB prototyping these days, or are machines in this price range just too clunky to be useful? I'm shopping for one for home. We've got an Othermachine (now Bantam tools) at work that produces good results, but they're $3k and that's too much for home use.

I use a CNC3020T (cost £326) and it produces pretty good results - 0.3mm tracks and isolation - but I did do quite a bit of work on it. I added limit switches and a probe input and added the ability for gcode to turn the spindle on and off. The mechanics are good and I made no changes there.
