I'm doing alright for a millennial so it's near the top of my list too, but I can appreciate that it's a perspective of relative luxury. My brother lives in a Fiat, so he doesn't have to worry much about the dryer being on the fritz again.
Good point ... one must be always grateful for what one's got

When a Portland businessman patented a new kind of screw, it changed how quickly cars could be made
Henry Phillips' new screw design was a top choice for car manufacturers because of its ability to keep the screwdriver tip from slipping out of the screw's head.
The Phillips screw is named for Portland businessman Henry F. Phillips, who patented it a few years after founding the Phillips Screw Company — but although Phillips refined the new screw's design, the idea didn't originate with him.
"It was a guy named John Thompson," explained Mike Allen, author of an Oregon Encyclopedia article about the invention of the screw.

I wish I could have captured the event but this evening I came home. After putting the truck in the garage, walking down the driveway I saw more than a dozen points of light in the sky moving from west to east IN A STRAIGHT LINE! Didn't see any exhaust plumes, and I don't know if I saw a missile I'd see one, but these had to be outside the atmosphere. As they approached overhead they faded from view as they slipped into the shadow of the earth. They moved at the same speed I've seen satellites moving. I've seen the International Space Station pass overhead and I've even seen the Space Shuttle flying along with it. These were moving at about the same speed. Since the space station travels just over 17,000 miles per hour I'd have to say these things I saw were probably close to that realm of speed.

I've been watching for the news. I want to hear if they have anything to say about it. This was about 7:15 PM. My neighbor across the street was coming home at the same time. We stood together watching as one by one they disappeared. Don't know if I missed anything before I spotted them, but I saw a group of 3, another group of 3, a group of 4 and 3 more. Excited I grabbed my cell phone and pointed it at the event. I FORGOT TO HIT RECORD! And I don't know that I would have captured much of anything. But it's something I don't think I'll forget. I saw something probably man made (or other intelligence) moving in a straight line, in series and I don't know what it was. Maybe little green men will visit in the night to make sure I am silent about this. Or maybe it was Little Rocket Man launching an attack on Washington DC. I haven't heard anything in the news yet. I'll have to search the web to see if there is any reports of it.

COOL!

Darn it! I wanted it to be something earth shattering. Just another bit of man made junk in space. If not junk now, it will be soon enough. What comes after 5G? 6G? 7G? • • • 10G? • • • 20G?

Fox13now (news) just mentioned the Starlink satellites passing overhead. They said it will pass over again tomorrow night about 6 to 10 if I heard him correctly.
