About 10 years ago, I was in and out of Hill over a 3 year period working on some stuff. Some of it was in flight-line hangars.

For those who don't know, Hill AFB is one of the three Air Force maintenance depots (the other two are Oklahoma City and south-central Georgia) where all of the periodic teardowns and heavy maintenance and upgrades are done. One of the types Hill handles is the F-16. Hill also does F-16 training. When a squadron goes across the (Great Salt) lake to the training grounds, they practice everything - including rapid deployment. Imagine 5 or 10 F-16's taking off on full afterburner, less than 100 yards away, one every **12 seconds**. Even with mandatory eye and ear protection, that's loud.

Got some pic's of them flying over the house. Mostly video's. Will have to upload them to YouTube some day. Funny - - - I went to Olive Garden for dinner on Sunday the 26th of June. In behind us was - what I thought at first - were the pilots of the TB's. Dang I was so excited. Turned out they weren't the pilots, just the ground support crew. Still, got a picture with them. (Inlisted don't fly)

To debunk this puppy, I channeled a 5th grader...

Backing away from number 1 to be fair, the 5th largest cruise ship displaces 100,000 tons. This is its actual weight, as opposed to the gross tonnage specs that are measures of volume. The photo looks like only the front half of a normal boat, and there would be a lot more aluminum in an air boat, so lets say that thing is 20,000 tons.

A loaded 747 weighs around 800,000 pounds, or 400 tons. The air boat would be 50 times heavier. The 747 wingspan is just under 200 feet. Times 50, that is a wingspan of 1.9 ***miles***. The image shows a bi-plane wing, but that still is a 1 mile wingspan. The wing alone would have massive drag, and don't get me started on an airplane nose that is 15 stories high.

20 tires won't be enough.

Lightning is so cool. Always loved a good light show. Even when I was six years old. Fascinating thing, lightning.

The smoke rings are cool.

We do not have "rights" for peace and quiet when there are thousands of modified cars and motorcycles blasting their noise at all hours with no mufflers (tuned pipes for even more noise).

Many of the noisy cars in my neighborhood are owned by students from another country who attend the nearby university. The modified cars are Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bugatti and other luxury sports cars.
