They're going to Lock this thread up somebody posted video quick!
I hope not. Just because of some foolishness is no reason to lock up a thread that basically has no particular topic. From time to time I find something I think is cool and like to post it. I see others do so too.

@Delta Prime I hope you're not beating yourself up just because you posted a video that was fake (in some parts - or more - I don't know). I enjoy the conversations evoked here. And I haven't seen anyone getting nasty toward anyone else. Sept, maybe @ThePanMan, but I think he was kidding when he said he picks on people he likes and that he was going to leave you alone. I laughed. I'll have to use that one some day. Particularly toward someone I like.

I love it. I'm in the glide path for the Oregon Air National Guard base. Sometimes they fly a little hot.
I'm not in the line of the runway but every once in a while there's some hot jocky who loves to buzz the homes over my neighborhood. He'll go afterburners (F-35) and make a hell of a lot of noise. Loupe out and back. Normally they're loud when they fly out to the firing range. Depending on the winds they go either south of, or north of my house. But they're damned close as it is.

Just got home last night and the air show starts today. Will make it out there later this afternoon just to check things out. Free entry, so - - - .

June 25, 26 Hill AFB Air Show with the Thunderbirds. Practice all week long, flying over my house. LOVE it.
About 10 years ago, I was in and out of Hill over a 3 year period working on some stuff. Some of it was in flight-line hangars.

For those who don't know, Hill AFB is one of the three Air Force maintenance depots (the other two are Oklahoma City and south-central Georgia) where all of the periodic teardowns and heavy maintenance and upgrades are done. One of the types Hill handles is the F-16. Hill also does F-16 training. When a squadron goes across the (Great Salt) lake to the training grounds, they practice everything - including rapid deployment. Imagine 5 or 10 F-16's taking off on full afterburner, less than 100 yards away, one every **12 seconds**. Even with mandatory eye and ear protection, that's loud.
